RELEVANCE FOR SOCIAL WORK

Keith Haring’s work informs the social workers about the people’s lack of knowledge concerning HIV/AIDS that should be widespread within the society. It emphasizes the need for psychological support for individuals living with such a diagnosis. Hence, a social worker should maintain an enduring bond with them and their relatives to provide the needed assistance and motivation to share their experience for the common good.

There remain significant social issues that people prefer to keep silent and avoid rather than confess being helpless in fighting with them. Social workers take the central role in such cases since they ensure communication between humans facing problems and society. Therefore, I should contribute to their adaptation to the environment using the knowledge of human behavior and share crucial information within the community to involve it in confrontation with the mutual hazard.
